In the EYFS, excellent achievement is promoted through well-planed schemes of work which allow pupils’ thinking to be extended, these utilise a wide range of resources, a rapid pace in lessons and teachers’ excellent subject knowledge.” ISI Report 2016

Each child entering the nursery is assigned a Key Person who is responsible for monitoring progress and development across the areas of learning.

The Key Person is responsible for planning and facilitating play based activities to support the individual child's learning, finding a balance that both supports and challenges the individual on an appropriate level, across the curriculum.

The children have opportunities to work both individually and in groups on a wide range of play based activities and the Key Person ensures that all activities are purposeful and appropriate for their development.

Every child has an EYFS profile which tracks the child's development and achievements, across the curriculum.
