Choosing a school for your son or daughter is one of the most important decisions you will make so it is important to make the right choice.

All parents want their children to achieve their potential academically, socially and in areas such as sport and music. We believe at Bishop Challoner School that all this is possible. There are also other aspects which are vitally important which do not show up in League Tables or are easily measurable - and are usually all the more important because of that. Here I am thinking of the type of people our children are becoming - upright, honest, decent, loyal - “helping to form Christ” in their lives. This is our aim.

Bishop Challoner School is a Catholic, independent, co-educational day school with senior, junior, infant and nursery departments. We exist to provide a broad and challenging education within a caring and secure environment. The partnership of teachers, pupils and parents creates a supportive community within which girls and boys from 2 ½ to 18 years are able to grow to their full potential so that they become confident, responsible and caring members of society.

In a rapidly changing world it is our aim to keep pace with the latest developments in the world of education whilst retaining some of the more traditional methods which have stood the test of time. We never lose sight, however, of our ultimate objective, which is to produce well qualified young men and women whose Christian ideals fit them to take their place in society.
