Sixth Form 16 - 18

The Sixth Form at Bishop Challoner School is a popular choice for many of our Year 11 pupils and we welcome new students from other schools. The Sixth Form offers a wide range of 'A’ Levels (AS and A2) taught in small classes by well qualified, supportive staff. Supervised private study and close monitoring of academic progress through a mentoring scheme ensure that each student achieves his or her potential. Most are expected to move on after school to university.

In addition to their academic studies each Sixth Former follows courses in Religious Studies, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Health Education. Several are involved in Young Enterprise.

There are many opportunities for students to attend conferences, lectures and theatre visits. These enable them to broaden their intellectual horizons and encourage greater independence.

Contribution to the general life of the school is also encouraged with opportunities to develop leadership skills. Sixth Formers help run the House System and are appointed to positions of responsibility. They help organise the School Council and other events.
