Year 12 enjoy tea with Nettlestead Care Residents

Year 12 enjoy tea with Nettlestead Care Residents, who visited the school on Thursday 6th December for festive celebrations.

On Thursday 6th December our Sixth Form students welcomed those from Nettlestead Retirement Home to enjoy an afternoon of festivity. Our Sixth Form sat with the elderly and enjoyed nice conversation over some tea and cake. The Junior School choir then performed a few Christmas classics such as 'Away In a Manger' and 'Silent Night' which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. This was followed by the Senior School Chamber Choir who delivered an emotive rendition of the famous 'Gaudete', and then lifted the Christmas spirit with a joyful recital of the timeless classic 'Twelve Days of Christmas'. The wonderful performances from each choir helped generate a cheerful and amiable atmosphere which captured the ethos that Bishop Challoner School continuously fashions. The afternoon was rounded off with an enjoyable festive quiz and all attendees left with a Christmas gift from our School.
