Year 9 Ypres Trip
Our Year 9 and some Year 10 students travelled to Ypres as part of their History curriculum. They visited the Flanders’ Field interactive Museum (which was a former Cloth Hall); Essex Farm dressing station where John MacRae wrote the poem ‘In Flanders’ Fields’; Tyne Cot Cemetery which is the largest military cemetery and Sanctuary Wood to experience life in the trenches.
They finished the day at the Menin Gate for the Last Post ceremony before heading home after a very long day!
