STEM Club visits St. Joseph's Primary School
Year 8 STEM Group embarked on a mission to St Joseph’s Primary School to show the Year 6 students one of our more fun and challenging experiments involving Duct tape, skewers and Jelly Babies.
The real challenge however, was to stop the primary school students from eating the Jelly Babies before the experiment had even begun.
Our mission was to show a Transverse Wave with the Jelly Babies which were attached to the skewers and stuck to the duct tape. It was showing us how a human’s DNA is built up and how we are all so different.
We resisted the temptation to take over completely, but instead patiently helped the excited Year 6 students to construct the Jelly Baby Wave.
Our thanks go to both Mrs Alliwell and Mrs Woolaway for organising this trip.
