Mathematics
The department has two full time and one part time Mathematicians. There are two teaching sets in each year group from Year 7 to Year 11 and one set each in years 12 and 13. Sets are generally adjusted according to internal assessments and examinations at the end of each academic year. Mathematics comprising Core (Pure) Mathematics and Mechanics (Applied) Mathematics is offered at AS and A2.
Mathematics is a popular subject in the school with a growing proportion continuing study of the subject into the sixth form.
