Year 11 - Personal Statement
Introduction
Welcome to the Year 11 Personal Statement webpage. We've produced this short guide on writing a personal statement to help you with the process. In order to do this successfully, you need to convey your passion and enthusiasm for the subjects you want to study within your application to the Head of Sixth Form.
The deadline is 4th September 2013 and should be emailed to [email protected]
Please complete the following tasks:
1. Download examples of personal statements here. Please take time to read them - do not plagiarise them.
2. Download the personal statement template here to help you structure your statement.
3. Download the crib help sheet here. This will give you ideas for writting under each section.
4. Write your personal statement using the headings you are given.
5. Ask your parent(s) or guardian(s) to read your personal statement.
6. Once you are happy with your personal statement email it to [email protected] Please make sure you put your name and form in the email subject.
Your Tutors: Mr Grayson, Mr O'Hara along with Mr Coultart Head of Section and Mrs Dwyer-Birchill - Director of Studies will be working along side you help you with your personal statement. Do not worry!
