Bishop Challoner School has recently had an inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. We are pleased to announce that we met all the Compliance standards with no action points. The Quality of Pupils’ Academic and other Achievements has been graded as ‘Good’ and the Quality of the Pupils’ Personal Development has been graded as ‘Excellent’.
It is important to note that the school inspections within the independent sector have now changed and the current inspection framework uses different criteria and grade descriptors from previous inspection frameworks. The judgements made on this inspection are, therefore, not directly comparable to judgements made on previous inspections.
The headline judgements are now graded ‘excellent’, ‘good’, ‘sound’ or ‘unsatisfactory’ for Educational Quality. There is no longer an ‘outstanding’ grade under the new system so the highest grade possible is therefore ‘excellent’.
