GCSE SUCCESS FOR BISHOP CHALLONER PUPILS

Bishop Challoner School pupils celebrated an impressive set of grades in their GCSEs. This is a wonderful achievement set against an incredibly difficult past three years and the realignment by Ofqual of marking and grading back in line with 2019 (GCSE exams pre-pandemic year) levels.

Individual successes were achieved by Louis A and Ruhmen O who both managed six grade 7-8, while William Y achieved six grade 7-9. Josh Y was rewarded with six 7-8 grades.

There were particularly excellent results across the Science Faculty.

Headteacher, Mark Wallace, commented: 'Following on from our impressive A-Level results last week, I am equally delighted for our Year 11 cohort with their GCSE results. The past three years have tested this cohort's resolve, determination, and resilience. They have had to navigate their way through long periods of uncertainty while maintaining their focus and motivation.

Their results are a testament to their commitment and dedication to their studies and I am delighted that their hard work has been rewarded. Everyone at Bishop Challoner School would like to thank them all for their outstanding contribution to the school over their time with us, both inside and outside the classroom.

This year-group has been wonderful to work with and we look forward to them continuing their educational pathways with us at Bishop Challoner into the Sixth Form. For those who will be leaving us, we wish them every success in the future as they go on to their next destinations. I would also like to thank our pupils' parents and the school's staff for their support in achieving these results.'

Bishop Challoner is delighted to welcome prospective parents on Thursday 16th November 2023 for a whole school open morning. Please register your interest here.
